InfoExpress Releases CyberGatekeeper Test for W32.Mydoom/W32.Novarg To Ensure That Users’ PCs Are Protected Before Accessing Corporate Network

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA (January 20, 2004) — InfoExpress, Inc., today announced the availability of a test for W32.Mydoom/W32.Novarg to be used with CyberGatekeeper Remote, the company’s security policy enforcement solution for remote users. Adding the new test condition to the policies maintained on the CyberGatekeeper system will ensure that end users’ computers are checked for W32.Mydoom/W32.Novarg before they are permitted to access the network, preventing the W32.Mydoom/W32.Novarg from infecting the LAN.

CyberGatekeeper Remote automatically audits all PCs for security compliance when users request network access. The systems instantly detect outdated, misconfigured, unauthorized or missing security utilities, such as anti-virus programs and personal firewalls, as well as applications forbidden by corporate policy, such as peer-to-peer programs.
