InfoExpress Announces Windows Vista Support for CyberArmor Enterprise Firewall Solution

Mountain View, California, October 23, 2007 - InfoExpress, a leading network security solutions provider, today announced that its award winning CyberArmor enterprise personal firewall solution now includes support for Windows Vista operating system. With CyberArmor for Vista, InfoExpress extends its centrally managed enterprise personal firewall to Vista endpoints giving network administrators greater control over policies, ensuring maximum protection to employees, guests, partners and contractors connected directly to the network or wirelessly through a corporate Virtual Private Networks (VPN).

A survey of 753 IT "decision makers" initiated by Walker Information for IT services and CDW Corporation, a leading provider of technology products and services to business, government and education, showed that "nearly 30 percent of respondents are using or evaluating Vista" and "87 percent of respondents plan to eventually adopt Vista." Additionally, recent announcements from Microsoft state that more than 60 million copies of Vista have been shipped, while support for Windows XP Service Pack 2 will end on July 1, 2008 on an OEM and channel basis. Given this market data, analysts are predicting that Vista adoption will increase in 2008.

"Over the last quarter we have seen a significant increase in the number of requests from customers wanting CyberArmor support for Windows Vista," said Stacey Lum, CEO of InfoExpress. "With CyberArmor support for Vista, enterprises get an easy to use, centrally managed personal firewall that ensures endpoints are protected from threats whether users are in the office or working remotely."

Dynamic NAC's Revolutionary Approach

Dynamic NAC's revolutionary peer-based enforcement model turns compliant endpoints into dynamic policy enforcement points that block unauthorized network devices from the network. This is especially well-suited for managing traffic from rogues and guests which do not have the client software installed. Dynamic NAC enforcers are unique because they are able to quarantine all network devices; even those that do not have any special software installed locally.
