CyberGatekeeper Remote sits between the VPN, remote access server
and the corporate network. Access to the corporate network is restricted
until CyberGatekeeper Remote audits the remote system and verifies
that it complies with security policies that have been uploaded
to it.
The CyberGatekeeper Remote system consists of three components.
CG Server, CG Policy Manager, and CG Agent. Together, these work
in conjunction to provide full security management and monitoring.
In addition, CyberGatekeeper can be configured to work specifically
with CyberArmor to provide a more
extensive enforcement solution for systems not connected to the
corporate network.

After the VPN or dial up connection is established, CG Agent reports
information about the remote system to CG Server. CG Server audits
this information based on its policies for conformance with the
corporate network, then allows access if the audit passes. Criteria
for the audits are provided through CG Policy Manager, which creates
the audits that are transferred to CG Server.
If an endpoint fails to comply with the policy, CyberGatekeeper
returns a message to the user indicating the appropriate step to
take, and may include an option to self-remediate through a patch
or update. The remote user can then update their system as required
before logging in again.
