The Challenge:
Guest and employee access |
 |
The corporate network is no longer limited to just employees.
The need to permit outsourcers and partners means many types of
users are accessing the network. Allowing diverse users on the network
means an organization's security policies must be rigorously enforced
to ensure its integrity.
- Business partners and service providers may need access to network
resources. Access should be granted only when compliant with local
policies.
- Third party systems belong to different administrative domains,
so installing software on their systems may not be feasible.
- Employees remotely access the network from the Internet through
a VPN, making policy compliance essential for safe networking.
To ensure scalability, the solution must ensure compliance without
disrupting productivity.

The CyberGatekeeper family, consisting of CyberGatekeeper
Remote (CGS Remote), CyberGatekeeper Server,
Dynamic NAC for Windows, and CyberArmor,
addresses the needs of diverse users without sacrificing security.
- Dynamic
NAC for Windows is a software version of network access control
that supports Dynamic NAC. Dynamic NAC is easy to install and
maintain, requiring no network reconfiguration or equipment upgrades.
- CyberGatekeeper Server ensures that only compliant systems can access the
LAN. This protects the network from systems that might contain
Trojans, viruses, and other malware. Remediation options are available
for non-compliant systems.
- CyberGatekeeper
Remote ensures that only compliant systems can access the
network over remote connections like VPNs and dialup. This protects
the network from systems that might contain Trojans, viruses,
and other malware. Remediation options are available for non-compliant
systems.
- CyberGatekeeper supports both a Desktop Agent and a Web
Agent, a browser-based version of the desktop agent.
The web agent lets business partners and service providers access
the enterprise without installing software on their systems. Employees
can install either the Desktop Agent for the greatest transparency
or use the Web Agent for clientless access.
- CyberArmor is an enterprise personal firewall that installs
on the user's PC. The centrally managed solution protects systems
from network attacks, keeping systems safe on and off the corporate
network. Its granular rules and flexible policies can be customized
to meet the organization's specific requirements.
