The Challenge:
Keeping Dangerous Systems Out |
 |
Corporate firewalls and remote authentication were once enough
to secure a network, but mobile systems connecting to the core network
have made this model vulnerable to attack. As a growing number of
systems cross between trusted and untrusted networks each day, network
security on the LAN lags behind perimeter defenses.
A system on an untrusted network can become infected with a Trojan
or virus. When the system attaches to a trusted network, the malware
spreads to other systems. Even if operating systems, antivirus and
security software are updated, the constant changes to desktop configurations
makes this process prone to failure when scaled to hundreds or thousands
of systems.

Dynamic
NAC for Windows is a software version of network access control
that supports Dynamic NAC. Dynamic NAC is easy to install and maintain,
requiring no network reconfiguration or equipment upgrades.
CyberGatekeeper Server keeps unhealthy PCs and rogue devices off the
network. Unhealthy PCs are remediated before granted access to the
network. CyberGatekeeper monitors and controls access to the network
regardless of its configuration, quarantining unauthorized endpoints
on the network, even when they are not running DNAC software.
- CyberGatekeeper Server audits all local systems and only
grants access to those in compliance. This ensures a secure network
regardless of user type and system configuration.
- If no audit is performed on the system, the system remains quarantined,
unlike other systems, which permit access when no software is
installed.
- The Desktop Agent can participate in an audit
session with the CyberGatekeeper server. Systems without a desktop
agent, such as those owned by business partners and consultants,
can use the Web Agent to establish an audit session.
